Best Ever Brownies
Everyone loves licking the spoon and bowl for these brownies. These are almond flour but taste like the perfect homemade old fashioned brownies you grew up with.

The recipe
- Prep Time
- 10 minutes
- Cook Time
- 27-32 minutes
- Makes
- 16 brownies
Ingredients
- 1¼ cups granulated sugar (or coconut sugar for Paleo)
- 3 eggs
- ¾ cup melted unsalted butter (or melted coconut oil for dairy free)
- 1¼ cups blanched almond flour
- ⅔ cup Dutch-processed cocoa powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp instant espresso powder
- ½ cup chocolate chips + extra for topping
- ½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans
- Pinch of sea salt (optional)
Instructions
- 01
Preheat oven to 350°F and line an 8x8 metal pan with parchment paper — ⚠️ metal is critical here, glass or ceramic will not cook these the same way
- 02
Whisk sugar and eggs vigorously for 2 minutes until light and frothy
- 03
Add remaining ingredients except chocolate chips and nuts, stir to combine
- 04
Fold in chocolate chips — batter will be slightly thicker than traditional brownie batter
- 05
Pour into pan and sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top
- 06
Bake 27 minutes for fudgy, 32 minutes for chewy — toothpick should come out with moist crumbs, not wet batter
- 07
Cool completely before slicing
