The Daily Brief
What needs you today, and what can wait.
What it does
Pulls your calendar, tasks and meal plan into one view.
Shows what actually needs you today.
Lets the rest wait, on purpose.
How it works
- 1
Your calendar.
- 2
Your tasks and meals.
- 3
One brief.
Is this for you?
It’s for you if…
It’s not for you if…
You already know exactly what today needs by 7am. (Please call me.)

The long version +
What actually needs my attention today — and what can wait?
Right now your brain is carrying the calendar, the to-do list, dinner and the appointments — all at once, all day.
Imagine starting the day knowing what matters, what fits, and what you can stop thinking about for now.
The information already exists. It's scattered across calendars, lists, email and the meal plan. This is my attempt to have all of it answer one question instead: what do I need to know and do today?

The shape of today.
A focused view of the few things that make today work: fixed commitments, usable open windows, the tasks that fit and a dinner plan with a clickable recipe link.
Weekly · Orienting
The shape of the week.
A high-level view of the few big things that must happen, the approved meal plan, unusual calendar commitments and preparation that prevents last-minute scrambling.
Beyond a canned brief
Most canned briefs repeat a calendar, weather and inbox. This is the AI layer that understands the calendar, Task Tracker and maintained household context together, including which commitments can overlap and which cannot. It can surface only what is useful for this day or this week in a way today's general AI assistant apps do not.
Where this actually stands.
- I'm testing this in my own house. It is not a finished product, it isn't for sale, and nothing here is a live connected service you can turn on.
- The example above is illustrative — it shows the shape of the idea, using the kinds of information a family already has scattered across apps, email and memory.
- The pieces underneath it are the things already on this site: the task tracker, the Reminders habit, the meal plan, the household details. Browse those
